Great site, have been reading a lot of the posts I can see there a wealth of experience here.
Just starting to build a 737-800 sim using an ex Ryan Air cockpit.
New to sim building so no doubt will have lots of questions, sorry.
Not new to fabrication, computer control etc though, so that should help a bit.
Photo of cockpit just after delivery last week.
All the best
Steve

Hey Steve, thanks for sharing. Loving the cockpit. Where in Devon are you? I'm in Cornwall. Looking forward to seeing how you progress.
Regards
Marc

Welcome to the forum, and an excellent cockpit you have there.
What's the internals like? Is it an NG?

Thanks, the cockpit is a 737-200 EI-CJF ex Ryanair to be converted to an 800. Seats and yokes etc are good as is the throttle quadrant but of course needs converting to an 800 and powered. No MIP or overheads with it, but would have been no good anyway. I have now cut the lower half off below the floor level and mounted it on a frame. The cockpit is now in it's new home, but the roof trusses cross beams need raising, for it and the planned projector screen to fit properly, and then a new ceiling etc, so that's the next job.

If you want to trade in the real TQ for something plug and play let me know. Nonsurgical what your plans are for it.

Thanks for the update :)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks for the offer but intend to convert it myself, part of the project really. Plans for the TQ are to convert it to an 800, motorize it and powder coat it etc. Plans for the sim when its finished, not sure about that one yet, I guess it all depends on how well it turns.
All the best
Steve
