Hi guys and gals ....

I am looking to build an A320 cockpit with a friend of mine using P3D and just looking for some guidance.

We want to achieve a good build and make something that performs as close the real aircraft.

So the plan is to try and tackle this in the following order.

1. Build MIP - (Where is a good MIP able to be purchased and does anyone know how to build the stand for it)

2. Build the FCU

3. Build the Pedestal

4. Build the Overhead

5. Build the Captain control

6. Build the FO control

7. Complete build and tidy up areas in the overhead and side panels

So really need some good guidance to try and get this up and moving.

Things that confuse me is what software is the best to make the panels info appear and obviously cost efficient.

I have a Flight Deck Solutions MIP and the component parts for sale if you are interested.

Hi Barry, it looks like you've completed the side view of your sim with LCD -- how are you finding it now with a complete wrap around? :)

The result was far better than I expected and I am really pleased I put them in. The main benefit is on the peripheral vision, particularly when manoeuvering, gives a distict feeling of motion.
Also useful when taxying and entering runways!
The joints between screens are not a major proble but I am going to reintroduce my little mirror strips to blend them in a bit.
Currently my main project is to make my hardware suitable for Jeehell; I have got the FDT cards out, have built a better PC to handle the graphics of the PFD and ND. One thing left is to sort the FCU which runs on the old CPFlight G2 card which is not generally supported now.
Always onwards and upwards!
