Hey guys,
Anyone out there know how to get the weather from Whazzup Plus onto the ND of
my Boeing PFD? I have tried to share the folders of the PFD and the
CDU....but nothing works yet even though there is weather on the Whazzup screen
for teh area that I'm flying. What about the Net Dir in the config file of
Whazzup.....do I have to tell where to search for the Net Dir folder of the
CDU?
Any help would be appreciated...I specifically bought Whazzup Plus to get the
terrain data and the weather to be displayed on the ND.

Hello Chris,
is this problem still active?
How have you set your NetDir in the CDU?
Can you see the weather in WhazzUp?
Ciao

Enrico,
Reply to your questions:
>is this problem still active?
Ans: YES , I still cant get the weather on the ND

Ans: Initially I set it manually in the ini file of the CDU, PFD and the rest
of the PM Programs. Then I tried the to set OFF on the
"DisableAutoNetDir=" of the CDU ini file and on the CDU MAINT page to set the NetDir to the PC
with the CDU.

Ans: YES definitely I can get the weather on Whazzup but sometimes I only get
the weather on a partial side othe the whole screen and not at the
location of the mouse that I place on the Whazzup screen. I have correctly set the
GMT time for my time zone which is +8.
ANY TIPS FOR HELP ?

Hi,
what is it set to precisely, the NetDir? Did you run the pmFileCheck
program?

There is only one entry, it is in the CDU.INI... the ones in the other files
are disregarded.
What versions of the software are you using? The current ones do not have a
NetDir entry in the PFD.INI etc.

That entry is also gone.
I think there is some problem with the access of the network folder.
What is it set to in the WhazzUp INI? Can you send me your CDU and WhazzUp
INI files via e-mail please?
Ciao

Chris,
Please check the NOTAMS page in the online documentation for the
network shares settings, did you run pmfilecheck in the pfd folder to
test the connectivity?

Katy / Enrico,
Got it to workfinally. Changed the NETDIR setting in the CDU ini file.
Mistake was that I had it in the original format of the ini file which was
NETDIR=c/cdu/netdir. Changed it as per the NOTAM as mentioned by Katy. Switched
it to Netdir=//Computername/cdu/netdir. Works now. I can now see weather in
the ND.
Question I have though is that the weather cells are large squares of green,
orange and red. Is it meant to be in large cells or can I do something to
reduce the size of the cells in the ND.
Otherwise, your software is great, I can't wait for PMWeather. Count me in
for that. God knows I've spent enough money on your PM software...ABGC,
Boeing GC and Whazzup....keep them coming guys. Great work.
