Hello my friends!
Many people have asked about the Dash-8, measurements and various questions over quite some time I'v been a member here.
I was one of them, and yes, any information was hard to come by! But now I have managed to get the measurements for the cockpit, for the TQ and so on. By the help from real pilots, and the chief technician for Wideroes Dash-8 200 simulator stationed in the city of Bodoe, Norway. Some companys started to make parts for the Dash-8, like annunciators, autopilot and so on. Work there is still going on, I think GLB Flight Products will start make panels for the overhead this year! So that is why we must share what we can, we allready started a Facebook group here in Norway for the Dash-8 cockpit building.
So if you are building or have plans building a Dash-8 cockpit, there is now hope about information!
Take contact and I will be glad to share what I have so far!
With regards
Frode

Hello my friend!
Sorry for the late answer, been busy at work the last month. I have now all the measurements for the Dash 8 simulator! Plans and measurements of how to make the cockpit, electronic plans for the deicing panel, how to make cheap radios, plans for the TQ and so on. It has been a lot of work, even spent some time in real Dash cockpits. It is a lot of information, and my plan is to put all documents on my home page when it is all ready. I will also put links to what and where you can buy the stuff you need. My goal is to make it as cheap and real as possible. This includes some programming, but I think I will get some help with that as well. This way I also can put versus files on my homepage for people to download.
A lot to do, so I hope you'r not in a hurry ;-). But if you are, my advice to you is to purchase a Dash 8 cockpit poster, and from this make CAD files for your cnc machine. This job I asked GLB flight products to do for us, I'v sent him posters. And he will make the panels out from these. I think the panels will be ready for sale next year (Dash 300/200/100).

That sounds great my friend! What kind of Dash 8 cockpit are you building? Visit this site: http://www.flyadash.com/
I also sent them a request about making a few panels for the Dash 300. The difference are the ice protection panel and the AC control panel. But it is not cheap! So if you could make CAD files for us, we could make the panels our selfes!
If you need any documentation about the Dash 8-300 cockpit, give me your e-mail adress and I can send you all measurements of the cockpit, panels, TQ and so on.

I'm planning to realize a Dash 8 Q400 cockpit (based on the Majestic aircraft) and using Mobiflight and Arduino hardware. I still have to think if everything is possible with this king of hardware/software environment
I would like to realize myself all the necessary panels with CNC,drilling, .... and so on.
For the moment, i'm just gathering some infos to realize the CAD model of all the cockpit.
I visited this website, I will probably buy some stuff if needed.
