Hello guys, that doesn't refer to the B45 especially but maybe someone has some information on the Korry switches in the Airbus flightdeck:
Are they only momentary switches or are there some alternate/toggle Korries? I've also checked Meriweathers site but there aren't no information on mechanical function of the Korry switches.
Is there a list of all momentary and alternate/toggle Korries on the web?
Many thanks in advance.

Hello,
the last days I've experienced similar crazy situations on three independent flights:
FMS incl. MCDUs and FCU were set up as normal with topcat calculated values and correct loads, takeoff, climb, cruise without problems but on two approaches suddenly the AP disconnected himself and aircraft rolled steeply to the left and nose down, on one flight the same happened at cruise altitude.
On all flights I was able to recover the aircraft but had to push and HOLD the sidestick totally to the right. AP couldn't be reactivated, too. Landings were quite difficult with the stick pushed fully to the right. FltCtrl page showed stick movements correctly, rudder trim was centered, network was connected all the time.
And on two of these flights the A/T could not be activated, too, although MCDU setup was correct...
Don't know what went wrong. Any ideas?

Best regards
Bon

Hi Bon!

Can you check your yojstick again? All unexpected movement of sidesticks cause discconect AP. Are you using only one or two sidesticks? Pedals also can discconects AP. When aircraft out of limits, A/T also go down. Try to recalibrate yojstick and normaly FMGS config leavers. Anyway, aircraft must flight in "raw data", without MCDU or FCU settings.

Hi Igor,
thanks for replying. Yes, I'm using two sidesticks but I didn't move one of them in cruise or in approach until the AP has disconnected. I've checked sidestick and pedal calibrations in FMGS Config immediately after each occurence, all of them had been without anomalies. The A/T disfunction can't be identified since it was only one occurence so far. I'll observe this and report.
Have a good day.

Bon

Hi all
Does anyone know, if the intercom module of JH can be selected as a soundcard in teamspeak client? The problem is, when flying online on IVAO the teamspeak client is just able to select one of the two usb soundcards of my headsets, so my copilot is not able to talk to ATC. Is there a solution around were both pilots can use their radio and talk to teamspek server channels?

Thank you for a hint.

Hi

no it can't. This would imply coding audio drivers, which is really not something I want to learn.
There are some freeware application doing that for you (capturing audio stream from one app and streaming it through a virtual sound card), I do not remember the name but it was somewhere in my forums (one user does use it).

Hi Stefan,
I use a original Intercomsystem like this here: http://www.siebert.aero/images/product_images/popup_images/62470_SL400_132605.jpg
You have to put the Record "Out" in your Input form your normally PC-Soundcard and your PC Output int the Record "In". The only thing is that you need a original Pilot Headset with the special plugs. More realness you can´t get. ;) The Soundquallity is also like in original and you have a Sounddumping when you talk. Also a Squelch is integrated.

Cheers

Hi all,

my A320 bounces extremely up and down on ground when taxiing and giving a bit thrust or use the brakes to reduce speed. I am using TopCat for fuel management. Is that a normal behavior that the shockabsorbers of the gear have such a behavior?

Hello,

For the pilot or co-pilot communication on IVAO personally I use a jack splitter or I plug in a splitter both helmets and on the second the two microphone. Then the joystick I set F6 with FSUIPC so that the pilot or co-pilot lorsqu'uil presses the button configure speaks on TS.

Hello Micha,

You can find a tutorial in your C:/A320FMGS folder.
At this time, it is only a french version tutorial called "FR-Manuel Experts B42.pdf": chapter 6.2 (page nr 36) which tells you how to do (maybe Google translator can help you too).

If you got older versions JeeHell, I remember that an English version was available, called "Advanced users Manual". As far as I know, MCDU with SIOC_Creator configuration didn't get any modification into the updated versions...

Sorry for my approximate English...

Micha,

In SIOC_Creator, at MCDU page, you will find "Use FO MCDU" to check.
Then, you should be able to install the second MCDU as you did for the first one...

If not, I remember this however : someone in the french forum got issues to install Opencockpits "new V3" MCDU, a few months ago...
Maybe your first MCDU was a "V2" version, and your new one is a new "V3" ?

Mitch95
10-05-2016, 04:34 PM
Hello Micha,

So, as far as I know, if you use USBkeys cards, you should not get the "V3" issue above...

First, the 2 MCDUs should be recognized by running SIOC.exe.
You should have a file named "jeehellware.ssi".

Then, run SIOC_Creator, page MCDU, check "Use FO MCDU".
Indicate where your card is connected (on the same computer as SIOC.exe or on network) and the IDX number.
Click on "Start configuration".

You should get a box message asking you to close SIOC.exe. It is important to do it !
Then click "OK".

Now you can run SIOC.exe again, and IOCkeys.exe too for the key detection.
Click "OK".

Then you should only have to follow SIOC_Creator, telling you step by step, the keys to press on your MCDU.

At the end, don't forget to select "Apply configuration" on SIOC Creator page.

I successed in proceeding like this, a few years ago...

I hope this will be helpful for you...
At what moment does SIOC Creator hangs on ?

Michel

Hello Micha,

Did you check IDX number of this 2nd MCDU ? It can't be the same one as 1st MCDU.
If I remember correctly, you can read it on SIOC window, and have to put it in SIOC_Creator.

Are your 2 MCDU plugged on the same computer, the one where SIOC.exe and SIOC_Creator.exe are runnning ?
I remember that it's easier to do so...

the IDX numbers are correct, CPT has number 2 and FO number 3.
Both MCDUs are connected with the Sioc Computer.

When I look in Sioc Monitor and Push a button on both MCDUs i have a button Event.

Hi Micha,
Have you had a look in the SIOC.ini file to make sure that the correct numbers are entered.
Also have you tried just assigning the FO one(not sure if you can do that) to see if it works on
its own.
The SIOC monitor only directly checks hardware and will still operate correctly if the sioc.ini
entries are incorrect.
Hope this helps

Numbers i was referring to were Index and Device.
One other thing to make sure that nowhere in your SIOC script that you have defined the same

Thats all, I hope this helps you.

Hi

if your two MCDUs are wired exactly in the same way (i.e. buttons are wired to the same inputs on the USBkey board), you can manually do a little trick:
1) configure the CPT side only (done alreadky apparently)
2) close SIOC config, SIOC.exe etc...
3) Open c:\A320FMGS\hardware modules\FMGSServer.iocp.ini file
4) in that file, locate the MCDUkeys=x,y,z,..,..,... line (it is a long line with many numbers separated by commas)
5) Copy the line, but change the nale to MCDUfokeys
6) add a line USBKeysfo=1000 (you can replace 1000 by any number, but it MUST NOT be an already used variable number in the jeehellware.ssi SIOC script)
7) Open jeehellware.ssi file which should be located inside you SIOC folder.
8 ) Copy the variable from the CPT MCDU USBkeys, but change name to keyfo and variable number to 1000 (or whatever number you used in point 6) )

This will need to be done manually every time you put changes in your sioc configuration. You can put the jeehellware.ssi modifications in a text file, and tell SIOC Creator to append it (general tab), so you will only need to change the FMGSServer.iocp.ini file.

EDIT: if you cannot see your FO MCDU in the SIOC device list, yes you probably need to edit the SIOC.ini to add the USBkeys entry. I do not remember exactly what has to be done here, there should be some textual "help" in the SIOC.ini file itself, or in SIOC help...

in that case, you can configure first the physical FO MCDU as the CPT one. Then copy the resulting line in FMGSServer.iocp.ini.
Then invert for hte CPT to correctly configured.
