And to think I fly this route at least twice a year! Profile picture is the AirAsia A330 at Sydney Airport.

Time to pull up Jeehell FMGS, put in wrong coordinates and simulate this scenario! :shock:

JL FMGS does not allow you to insert coordinate from scratchpad or use the slew key to adjust lat/lon :)

That was not that way. Load of bs they returned to the airport and landwd. it is impossible to fly to another airport when you have a flight plan. I have flown airliners for 12 years and those are impossiboe mistakes

Hi dodiano -- the media sensationalize it (no surprise).

They did not reattempt a landing at Sydney because they had no visual and were redirected to Melbourne with vectors.
