Hi, I Would like to create the control lever of the flaps for the Cessna C172 that I would to use for control a potentiometer , for you how I can realize it?
You know a tutorial or a site where I can found the instructions for create the lever?
Thanks and bye bye

The night was very Councillor, this morning, in fact, I realized the flap mechanism for my home cockpit; I attach a photos of the prototype.

As you can see in the central axis I put a spring so as to be able to follow the profile to "steps" of the flap notches.

Here a video of dimostration: https://youtu.be/Efks_1VOpzA

Now I have to move from prototype to final implementation, but the bulk is now done.

Looks like a well made mechanism. It looks like you are using a slide potentiometer. You could also use a normal rotary potentiometer and assign the axis in FSUIPC, or you could use a series of switches for each flap setting.

You need to wire up the pot and test it out with flight sim. Looks like it should work well :)
