View Full Version : Flaps do not stop at 5.

All of a sudden, no matter what model I use, the flaps will not set at 5.
They will go to 1 but when pushed again, the skip 5 and go to 15. This
happens both ways.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what is causing this and how to resolve
it?
When I tested it outside PM it worked so I am not sure what the fix is in
PM.
Many thanks,
Matthew

I believe this is in the text file in the CDU. I changed to a new file I
picked up here from another post and the problem is fixed with the flaps at
5.
I downloaded a new file of the 777-200-224 and it still didn't work while the
flaps at 5 did work in the 777-200LR file.
Maybe someone can determine the fix for the 777-200-224 file or if I just
have the wrong download.

Hi,
I had simular problem, but what does the Flpos and Flset on the 777 that
works say. Is that line of flap code even in the 777.txt file? Just a
thought.

The only problem with flaps that I have is that it moves from Flap 0 directly
to 5 and the reason for this is that PM does not support only forwarding
edge deployment (flap 1 in 777).

Hi,
I added that flap 1 setting via leading edge to the GC, will upload it now.
Please also check the 777200 txt file for that change (tested with the FS
default aircraft).
flppos=2 is the relevant entry, should you be using another flight model.
Ciao
Enrico
flppos=0
flpset=0

Hello
I just checked this fix with PSS 777-200LR with default 777 panel. GC
correctly detects the transition from 0 to 1 flap and from 1 to 5 however it still
displays 5 instead of 1. The CDU monitor shows 0s in flaps positions.
Thanks

Can you please check with the default FS 777? It should show 1...
I do not have the PSS flight model, can you read the value in the leading
edge offset when flaps 1 is set?

Of course, the flaps are still 0 in FS when 1 is set.

Default 777 displays correctly.
Attached results from FSInterrogate for Flaps 1 and Flaps 5 settings, PSS

Mine is a little different.
FS9 default cockpit panel shows correctly all the flap positions and
transitions.
PM GC shows flaps as "UP" when at 1 and then 5 correctly and so forth.
The correction would be to show "1" as "1" instead of as "up".
This is how mine shows.

Hi Enrico and Leon,
with Enrico`s update try this txt-file. It is the file that Enrico sent
before with some changes in "flppos", should work.

I just checked with the latest update. The flaps 0,1,5 are displayed
correctly, however then 15 is displayed as 20, 20 as 25, 25 as 30.
I increased flppos values in aircraft file and now it displays all flaps
settings correctly. The only problem that during the transition some times the
displayed values show lesser than requred - for example during transition
from 25>20 it displays 15 for a split of second and then correctly displays
20.

Can you live with that split second sometimes for the time being?
