I have wanted to build my own cockpit since I was literally 5 years old. My daycare had a 707 cockpit complete with ATC chatter over the headsets for us kids to play in. I still remember flying all day long and not wanting to do anything else. Well now I'm all growed up and I have begun my building my dream by dropping a wad of cash on a shell, flooring and all the internal linings from AeroDeck Engineering. They are in the final phases of finishing up the inside trip and other linings and everything looks amazing. I am going to be building a 737-832 from Delta Airlines and I will be keeping a building log here www.737ngx.com when my first parts arrive.

AeroDeck is great to deal, very easy to talk to on the phone and email. They also use other suppliers like FDS so they can pretty much do everything. They are also going to be working on a 747 Shell etc after the first few 737 cockpits head out to airline customers.

Don't go there..... :) Those Airbus parts are NOT that easy to find.... I'm fortunate enough to have two "real" side-sticks. I don't know anyone else that does. I know of one person that got hold of a real EFIS/FCU panels, otherwise, the real panels are rare.

If I had to do it all over again......... :)

My sim will be painted in Delta Colors the interior will be a blend of 737 meets 787 to give me a more futureistic look and feel mainly in the paint and ambient lighting inside the cockpit.
