Hi Guys

This is a sort of repeat but as no new builds are available and some of you reported not having problems with STARS and Direct to ....
PLEASE anyone having A NAV DATA CYCLE AND BUILDS THAT WORK TOGETHER IN A STABLE MANNER ...COULD YOU POST HERE THE APPROPRIATE DETAILS SO THAT WE CAN ENJOY FLYING WHILE WAITING FOR PM TO SORT THINGS OUT.

You need to go here, http://www2.navigraph.com/www/default.asp , to get your nav data for the cdu. PM doesn't post any updates anymore.

I know that, .....but the new PM builds and the new Navdata are bugged as decribed in many posts here...my question is..if one of us has a combination of old builds and navdata that work well please tell everybody so that we can revert to these in the meantime..

When I get back in the sim today I will relist the builds I am using. I am going to try the new beta on the PM website for navdata.

Sorry for assuming you didn't know about the Navigraph site. I'm afraid I can't help you since I am running the most current Boeing PM builds and Navigraph data with no errors or bugs noticed. I didn't keep any of my previous builds. Hopely some else can help you out.

Good luck.

Thanks.
Can you be more precise as to the number of the "newest" PM builds that you use.
These are the latest
CDU390
MCP420
Gc450
PMCDUNAV 0705 (navigraph)
PMGCNAV 0705 (navigraph)

I am more interested by the ones you use if they work without problems
tell us more...pleaseeeeeee.

And Bob...tell us about yours too..
Cheers
Jack

I'm at work now but will check tonight and give all my software version numbers. It'll be in about 6 hours. So far I am not having any of the problems I've seen here.

Ok, here is WHAT I had...

CDU = 388
MCP = 418
GC = 448

Everything works great. Now since it was brought, up I see there is a newer version so I downloaded all 3 and now my cdu is completely corrupt and unuseable. I tried going back to 388 but no help. LSK's L1, L6 and R6 do not respond anymore. I have already sent a plea of help to Peter Cos just incase it's a hardware fasilure but that would be quite coincidental. What a wheelbarrow full of crap this was. I had a major fly-in this weekend to boot. If PM is going charge as much as they do for their software you'd think by now they would have a decent product, especially if they are shooting for the bigger customer's satisfaction.

This hobby is driving me to drink.......... MORE!

Sorry to hear you are having these problems.

Seems I mentioned something about PM to this effect a few weeks back.

Maybe i'm better off that they don't offer a 727 suite. :roll:

Well guys mine is acting up all of a sudden too and I have not upgraded I am still using all the builds that worked fine for me a week ago.. Now I get steering with the MCP/Auto Pilot is flat out to lunch! If I leave LNav on the plane just flies in circles and if I try to use HDG I have to turn the bug and watch the plane. Can't go by the bug.... I just turn the dial until the plane is going the way I want it to. I have to start thinking this may be a windows update issue??!!! I have NOT updated my PM software but the AP is whacked... You tell me??!!!!!

Yes, your theory is the only thing that makes sense Bob.

What you guys could try is rolling back to a previous Windows restore point (a few weeks back) and see if that makes a difference. Or maybe uninstall latest MS updates (via Control Panel > Add or remove programs)?

My PCs havent updated coz they arent connected to the internet at the moment (phew!) - so I can't check it myself.

Ok, I now have my CDU problem fixed. I lost the chips on the FDS CDU Interface board... go figure. Anyway, FDS was excellent in helping me get it fixed and up and running again. I just finished a flight without a single hitch with the following updates:

CDU390
MCP420
BGC450
PMCDUNAV 0706 (navigraph)
PMGCNAV 0706 (navigraph)

Life is so much better now that everything is working again. Hope you guys got your problems worked out.
