Hi
Is any one using flightdeck technology SIM-board USB Modules with FSX. I am considering which units to use and these look very flexible and quick. I have written to the supplier but they seem non commital on the release date of a FSX software or how compatible they are.
Any advice experiece with these units and FSX would be greatley appreciated.

Hi Barrie,
I am using Sim-Boards which can emulate any keystroke so they should be fine with FSX. I'm not switching to FSX until I get a better PC that can handle it and PMDG releases the 737NGX. Sim-Board software has drop down lists of FS commands to choose from and I'm sure FSX will have similar commands to FS9. I have had great results with FDT boards and frequently recommend them, they are the first boards to be specifically designed for FS.

They are not all that fast at replying. There are lots of bugs in the software that have not been fixed in FS9 and also in FSX.
Depending on what state of realism you are trying to achieve, and I would suggest that you would need Project Magenta for a start, and the best hardware and software that we know of, that has been programmed extremely well is Flight Deck Solutions from Peter Cos.
If you are into programming at all then for the price IO Cards are hard to beat.
Hope this helps......................Brian W.
