Hello,
just tried CDU and GC NAV 0706...Dont do this!
As usual...Unable to fly a simple route...
When, please when may we all get a PM software update that will be up to 75% like the real stuff e.g PMDG...!!!
I have to break up my online flight right now, cause PM software is not able to follow that simple procedures...
I am very dissappointed, trying to return to NAV 0705, maybe it helps.

Can you post the route here you are getting the problem with?
I'd like to see what you are running into.
(I have the 0706 cycle loaded)

Hi,
at first, returning to CDU/GC NAV 0705 solved my problem following any route inserted.
Now the details...
EDDH (RWY23) to EDDN (RWY28),
AMLU4B AMLUH UM852 POVEL UZ16 GALMA OSNUB / F330 N0430

Before installation of the NAV upgrade my setup runs sufficient to fly online except the VNAV and that was a lot of work.
After upgrade to CDU/GC NAV 0706...
Any time the A/C passed one of the waipoints (LNAV/VNAV selected) it starts to orbit left or right. When inserted direct to the next waipoint it interceps the direction but when approaching the FIX it begun to circle again It was unable to intercept the next waipoint on the route using LNAV.
Just for clarification:
I am using the PM software for a long time and I am still convinced that it is the right way building a homecockpit, but what we are talking about are basics...
I just learned that there are some dicussions about using the vertical indication within the ND...
Very fine, but at first i would like to fly a normal route using VNAV/LNAV correctly...
Please let us go back to the basics and enjoy the possibilities of flight simulation.
Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,

You are so right!
I wonder what the PRO users have to say about this?
PM CDU and Navigraph are not very happy together.
Well lets hope for a solution soon.
Would be nice if there would be a reaction from either PM or Navigraph

Gentlemen, I think this is not the proper place for your complaints!
Log on to the NAVData-Service and post under "Bug-Reports"
http://forum.navdata.at/index.php

This is the best way to contact the right persons!

Hi Frans,

I have nothing changed on the converter for the PM files ... Sorry Frans, that i canīt help you - please contact the PM crew ... Thank you very much!

To René,
I find it very important that we can discuss the PM problems here with other users. PM doesn't has their own forum anymore and I'm happy MyCockpit.org is hosting this service. Rest assured that we informed always directly the bugs to the support mail adresses, but has the respons of PM to its private / amateur cockpit builders customers is very low these days, we need to be able to talk to each other and inform the group about which bugs are noticed in the new builds

I don't think this problems must be hidden from the world, no software is perfect.

I think there is little Navigraph can do, as the Navdata is working perfectly with other addons as PMDG or PSS. It looks the PM data converter or the PM CDU software are not working correctly with the use of this new commercial data source.

I've had a few run-ins with the CDU the last few days. The dreaded turning around a waypoint happened on two flights, and one STAR that ruined a flight plan and we couldnt recover it. Thought all this was solved .. just cant understand why nav fixes would do this ... data is data is data.

As a following up, I did an online-IVAO flight EBOS/LIRF (Ostend - Rome)
with the latest Navigraph NAVDATA 0707 and all the latest builds of PM.

Route was the following dep EBOS RWY 26 Rome landing RWY 16L
KOK2M KOK UL607 PELIX UZ210 KRH UM150 UTABA UL607 ALGOI UM738 AMTEL UL995 BOL
No star or landing RWY set before t/o.

Full routing
KOK2M KOK FERDI BUPAL REMBA SPI PELIX PEL24 LIRSU NOSPA KRH LAMGO UTABA MOMUK ALGOI PITAR GIMOS RENTA ADOSA OSTEG KREVA BOA VALEN RESPU AMTEL BOL

All items were correctly drawn in ND and departure route was flown ok.

After REMBA Ivao ATC gave me a direct KRH - which was set in CDU correctly and well flown.

After OSTEG I started to prepare the landing and set ILS16L in the CDU. .... At that moment my complete route was gone up to KRH. and magenta line was referring to somewhere in "cyber space".

Not to mention this was very very unpleased when flying online.

Support has once again been informed.

Maybe some of you can try to fly the route and report their experiences.

I received already an reply from Jonathan of PM. According him, the problem seems to be with Navigraph and with them there seems to be a communication problem at the moment. So it looks there is very little what Enrico can do.

Hello
For several month's now, PM users of the Navigrpah navdata has big problems when using the data. The 3 mostly common bad behaviors are.
1. When setting the STAR during flight, route is completely vanished and the aircraft returns to the starting point.
2. When selecting a landing rwy, behavior is mostly the same
3. When setting "a direct to" waypoint, most of the times the CDU select one further.

According the PM team there is nothing they can do, as the problems are with Navigraph.

Is there anything which can be done, so that this monthly long problems finally can be solved ?

Many thanks

Hi Michel,
i have written Enrico a short note about this posting, but currently i have no idea how i can help you or better how i can fix the problems which you have reported because the converter which i use is made by the PM team - therefor i have no bearing on about the output. But again Michel, iīm in contact with Enrico and iīm sure we will answer your question soon. Thank you for your report!

Cheers from hot Vienna

After having a lot of problems yesterday with flight plans, where I would take-off to the first waypoint, the aircraft would fly straight past it. This happened every time I re-entered the plan from scratch. Today after a fresh re-start of the computers, I could not replicate the same problem using the same waypoint after take-off. So something is fouling up the software that appears to be rectified with all the computers being re-started. Is anyone able to come up with similar result. That is one reason I suggested a short flight, so that the problems may be seen a little quicker.
