Hello,
just some questions...
Is it possible to store routes using as company routes named like EDDH-EDDM or HAM-MUC ?
What is stored in the PM CDU Routes folder...?
Why is the last activated route stored only...?
What means FLUSH... deleting the last plan or deleting all stored routes...?
On my setup there is full acces to all folders including FSPLANS but I am not able to store and re-activate any route regardless of using "SAVE", "SAVE SBP", "SAVE FS" . By the way, what are the correct functions using this insertions on the CDU...?
Thanks
Brian

Ok this one is hard to answer as I have no way of knowing if the way I do it is right. All I can say is I am able, most of the time, to save the rout I want to. First thing is the Routes folder is where the CDU should store the route files. I do not try to save the route until I have activated and exec it. Then you hit the route menu button twice and I usually have to do this twice to get it to work hit the save. You should get a message it might flash by real fast but if you do not see it it did not save FB. Before you do anything else look in the folder and see if the flight plan saved. Once you have plans on there you can hit the route key twice and select load and you will get a list of what is saved in there.

The former, with filetype .sbp ("squawkbox plan") works for me. My FStarRC program for the Jeppesen FliteStar program produces SBP format files which are always selectable from the CDU Routes folder when pressing the Co route key twice.

Speaking of "ROUTES", how does one save same airport pairs with different routes?

The method that the CDU uses to save the route is to use the DEPARTUREARRIVAL airports, eg, KSFOKJFK, as the file name for the route. If one were to use the same airport pair with a different route, the default save would be to the DEPARTUREARRIVAL airports overwriting the original routing. I shall try to change the original airport pair file in the CDU/Data/rte file by adding a "1" to the original file name. eg, KSFOKJFK1. We'll see if the COMPANY ROUTE will allow the 9th character in the file name to show. I'll let you know how it goes.

With SBP format files I add another character to the name, e.g.
EGCC-EIDWW.sbp for a Westerly departure and
EGCC-EIDWE.sbp for an Easterly.
The file selection facility (pressing Co route twice) does allow the choice then. As far as I know any additional character can be used, but I don't know if it can be extended to more than one character.

Well, silly me. One can save a CO ROUTE to the CDU by adding ( in my case ) 2 characters to the default DESTARRIV file name. An example, KSFOKJFK02. That solves my question as to how to save multiple routes for the same airport pairs.
