Re: A320 FMGS beta 27
Hi,
I would like to bring up this subject once more. Because I had issues with AFLOOR when using Active Sky, I have now bought REX for FS9 and must say, that I have the same issue with REX as well. The only weather tools that do not give a problem are FSMetar and the FS9 builtin weather engine.
JL, is there any chance to log and find out what exactly triggers the software to go into AFLOOR mode? Resp. what triggers the IAS to drop to zero nearly? I think this would be the only way to find out the reason for the problems. I don't want to go without a weather tool, I also have tried to smooth wind changes in FSUIPC, but with no effect.
Thanks for your help
Stefan

Re: A320 FMGS beta 28
Hi,
If A.FLOOR is triggered, this means the IAS goes below A.FLOOR speed, there is no other possibility.
Why IAS goes below A.FLOOR speed:
-either the wind change really fast in which case this is not what I consider a good WX addon
-or the addon alters the FS simulation, which also means it is not a good addon.
-or the only other reason possible I can see is the pitot heating. By default, my software should turn it on when airborne, and it cannot be turned off. But you could maybe check if it's on (using a panel inside FS for example).
see VATSIM.net • View topic - Does REX cause this for anyone else?
Check maybe if you can deactivate icing in clouds. If the WX addons allow severe icing to overcome pitot heating, unless you want to re-enact AF447, this is not a realistic feature at all.

Re: A320 FMGS beta 28
Hi JL,
thanks for these explanations. I had already checked the wind in FSUIPC and tried several different setups, I assume this will not be the problem. But the others about pitot heat and icing I will need to check, hopefully I can find the reason there.
Thanks again

Re: A320 FMGS beta 28
Hi Daniele,
wow thanks a lot!! These are amazing!!!
I will probably include them all in next public release if you're OK with it?
Tell me also, you did not change all of them though? do you have a list of the sounds which you changed? I need to make sure they are in the right format for my software (I mean like some sounds are repeated in the software, not in the sound file for instance).
Again really big thumbs up for your work on the sound files!!

Re: A320 FMGS beta 28
Hi JL
thanks..!
No problem for the insertion of the sounds in your public release, a shared work can be developed much faster.
As for the list, all sounds have been replaced, except for the cavalry charge, also were changed in runtime to make them compatible with the software, I tried them and I did not find any problems.
All the others have been included for your reference in case of addition in the software.
