Re: I WANT TO BUY A HOME COCK PIT
Hi Silentscope! First of all, welcome to Mycockpit.ogr. Now, for your cockpit. I don't think there is any hobby oriented company who has ever built a C-130 cockpit? So, this would have to be a custom project. Based on the time it took me to build my own T-38/fighter cockpit and, the components required, it is not unrealistic to say this would cost you some $10,000 or more. Still interested?
If so, there are a couple of companies who may be willing to take on such a project. There are several talented individuals here at Mycockpit who could do such a cockpit. Would they be willing to do so? That I can't answer.
What I can tell you is that if you are willing to build it yourself, you will find all of us willing to help you with answers to questions and ideas. Plan on spending years to do it. My cockpit is still a WIP after 6 years of research and building. However, it is flyable and I add a piece here and there as I continue to fly it. As I type this, I am waiting for the paint to dry on a aluminum panel which will hold two Collins radios I just received, along with some military style engine gauges, from a company called Flight Illusions.
Good luck! We are here to help you.John
