FCU altitude indication
Hi there all,
I got a question about the FCU altitude indication. The altitude indication on the FCU never changes into dashes, and it displays the required altitude in feet. When I press the METRIC ALT button on the FCU does this value then also changes to a metric value or does it remain in feet and is the only effect of this METRIC ALT the added meters indication on the PFD/ECAM.
Any airbus pilot can confirm which one is correct?

Re: FCU altitude indication
Hi Peter,
It never changes into dashes it shows the altitude all the time! When you press Metric alt is only shown in the lower ECAM it doesn't change anything in the FCU!

Roberto

Re: FCU altitude indication
Thanks Roberto,
I knew this but needed confirmation. On a site from skalarki, someone offering a fcu and building also airbus software I saw a video where the altitude
changed to meters on the FCU and I was not 100% sure this was a mistake.
Thanks again. I will let him know this ....
