    Hi stef,

    Difference as "warningsystem" .

    Question arose because :

    1) some suppliers offer a Cpt and a Co-Pilot version whileas others only have one type on offer;
    2) the MIP737 panel digital inputs for pushbuttons attend both sides whileas
the connections for the LEDs are different for each side.

    Hi Tony,

    1) some suppliers offer a Cpt and a Co-Pilot version whileas others only have one type on offer;
I only know of one other vendor besides us offering a pcb based afds unit, and they too have only one version.
Which vendor is offering seperate versions ?
Anyway, functionality is mirrored. The status they annunciate are general and not captain or F/O specific.

    2) the MIP737 panel digital inputs for pushbuttons attend both sides whileas
the connections for the LEDs are different for each side.
In case of the CPflight MIP737 this is a technical reason. Sharing an output for the leds might give brightness problems whereas sharing an input is no problem at all. Hence seperate outputs for the leds and a shared one for the switches.

    Hi Stef,

    Thanks for your explanation.

As far as I know, two different AFDS are offered by Cockpitsonic.

    Regards
    Tony

those are probably the same too, functionality of captains and f/o unit is the same.

amber and red for A/P and A/T
    only amber for FMC

    blinking and steady.

    From the FCOM:

    Autopilot (A/P) Disengage Light
    Illuminated (red) –
    • flashes and tone sounds when autopilot has disengaged
    • reset by pushing either disengage light or either A/P disengage switch
    • steady for any of following conditions:
    • stabilizer out of trim below 800 feet RA on dual channel approach
    • ALT ACQ mode inhibited during A/P go–around if stabilizer not
    trimmed for single A/P operation
    • disengage light test switch held in position 2
    • automatic ground system tests fail.
    Illuminated (amber) –
    • steady – disengage light test switch held in position 1.
    • flashing – A/P automatically reverts to CWS pitch or roll while in CMD.
Resets by pushing either light or selecting another mode.

    2 Autothrottle (A/T) Disengage Light
    Illuminated (red) –
    • flashing – autothrottle has disengaged
    • steady – disengage light test switch held in position 2.
    Illuminated (amber) –
    • steady – disengage light test switch held in position 1
    • flashing – indicates A/T airspeed error under following conditions:
    • inflight
    • flaps not up
    • airspeed differs from commanded value by +10 or -5 knots and is not
    approaching commanded value.

3 Disengage Light Test (TEST) Switch
TEST 1 – illuminates autopilot/autothrottle disengage and FMC alert lights steady
    amber.
TEST 2 – illuminates autopilot/autothrottle disengage lights steady red and FMC
    alert light steady amber.
    Spring–loaded to center position.

    Re: Afds

I have the CP-Flight MIP Board and MCP.
And Iam using the CDU from Fly Engravity.

Can you explain me why the yellow light for FMC Message on the AFDS Panel, is no more running after i start the CDU Software from PM?

When the PM CDU Software i off, the light run normal. When there is a message for the CDU its go on.

Do the lights light with the cpflight test program for the mipboard ?

if it lights, your hardware is ok and you have to look to your software. Did you upgrade your pm versions recently ?

Light test with the CP Flight test programm works fine!

And pm is updated to the newest version.

and it is as i said. When CDU is not running the fmc light works normal.
do you have the CP MIP Bord too? And do the FMC light works normal when CDU is active?
