Re: Saitek pro flight headset?
Are you the cadet? Congrats! Might I suggest, as a cadet, you might find it more useful to purchase an aviation headset and an adapter that allows you to use it on your PC such as a flightsound X. Is using a real headset an option? Even the flight helmet you're wearing in the photo could be used.
Not sure if they are discontinued, but you're right... it seems they are disappearing.
You can buy a real headset for $70-$80 and then an adapter runs about $55. It's a little more, but you will get the benefit of having a headset you can use in your flying and simming.
I have one of each of these as extras in my Cherokee (cheaper headsets that work just fine):

Re: Saitek pro flight headset?
Since the topic is these headsets, could anyone tell me first hand the advantages etc.? I've read the company pushed promo description but I'm wondering what if any positive changes there are in the unit that are not on my usual headset/mic combo...
