    RIP Microsoft Flight

Don't know if anyone even noticed, but Microsoft quietly announced recently that they were ceasing development on Flight permanently. You can still download the game and the DLC is available, but there won't be any more stuff coming, no service packs, no v.next.

Guess that really is the end of MSFS - at least at Microsoft. Lockheed is carrying the flag now. Unless by some miracle MS decides to return to proper flight simulation. Which, given the limited revenues, I doubt.

Flight might have been awful - and it was - but it's still sad to see it go out this way.

    Re: RIP Microsoft Flight

A sad case of what could have been a great flight sim. They tried to make a "boring" flight sim appeal to the mass market - never going to happen. If you cant shoot at things or blow then up todays youth dont want to know.
They should have stuck with what worked, a boring fsx successor flight sim aimed at us nerds.
Doesnt affect me in the slightest, I tried it and deleted it. Not for me.
I know have Fsx working great, but an updated sim would have been welcome.

Hey ho never mind. Fsx is not going to self destruct because Flight was a pile of poop.
    Allan.
