Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition - Monitor choice
Hello everybody.
Recently I bought a "TripleHead2Go Digital Edition" unit.
I now have to decide which monitors to buy.
I have downloaded Matrox compatibility tool and run it.
(Automatically checks your system GPU and tells you whether or not it is compatible, and what resolutions you can expect to achieve.)
I got this result:
matrox system compatibility test 1.PNG
Does this mean I should buy monitors with a native resolution of 1680 x 1050
or
does it mean that I can use monitors with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 but only run them at 1680 x 1050 ?
I need some advise please ! I can´t afford to buy the wrong monitors.
Best regards

Re: Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition - Monitor choice
Bjarne, if you stick with your current video card then yes 1680 x 1050 is the max monitor resolution you can get but this is due to the limitation of your video card not the TH2GO. And yes you could get higher res monitors and run them at the lower res which is what I would do until such time as I could get a better video card to run the max resolution. Of course 3 monitors running at 1920 x 1080 will tax your PC's CPU more so that may also be a limiting factor.
