Startup/747 home cockpit
I'm planning on building a 747 home cockpit and I'm starting with the overhead panel. Let me say first that as much as I'd like to build a legit 747 overhead panel complete with annunciators that light up in a timely manner, at this time I'm not interested in that. I just want to build something that will help get away from mouse clicking lol.
Anyways, I've got a bunch of these light up push button switches that come one when you press the button.

And I've heard so much good things about the Bodnar card so I'm gonna get that. I heard though that I will not be able to use light up push button switches with the Bodnar card. Is that true?

I was also told by a guy on a flight sim forum on facebook that the PMDG 747 is not compatible with the bodnar card nor is it good for building a home cockpit but I remember seeing a couple of cockpit builders build a 747 simulator using the PMDG 747. Anyone want to shed some light on this?

Re: Startup/747 home cockpit
Depending on how many buttons you are wanting to illuminate it could be possible to connect the illumination to the bodnar board, however I would advise not to do this for a significant number of illuminated buttons.
You cannot get the Leo Bodnar card to control when the light illuminates, eg korry indicators etc. This is a totally different card.

Ah ok. I would need an output card of sorts or maybe a power source for the lights so when I depress the button, it will light up.
