Help me plan my instrument panel

    Greetings guys

Please give me your opinion, I am in the planing phase for the cockpit instrument panel. You know how it works... measure twice, cut once.
Well, I would like advice before going further in cutting the frame of my instrument panel for my cockpit

It is based on a cessna 150. I have panel overlays from actual cessnas (yeah, I know, from two different model of cessna 150) and want to interface actual avionics instruments - I am already in the process.

I am adding a VOR to the cessna, I don't think the cessna 150 panel layout was meant to have a VOR, I seem to run short on room for this size instrument on the overlays! lol
I am thinking of putting it on the right hand side panel instead of the left hand side panel, is that even thinkable?

here's my current planing. I think it makes sense. But, some instruments require additionnal wood cutting if I am to go with that, so please let me know if there's anything I might have omitted. Is there anything important missing?
    Thanks for your honest opinion.

Unless I squeeze the heading indicator on top of the LHS. The overlay calls for a smaller dial; I don't have one and will have to scratchbuild anyway, so I'll make it work on the smaller side, move things around, here's what I currently have in mind:

Re: Help me plan my instrument panel

Very old panels overlays, not follow today´s standard.
Left panel is older than right panel (left panel from a 1965 150E and the right panel, from a 1966-1967 150F or 150G)
    Diagram from manual:
    Left Panel:

Description: 10= Airspeed, 11=Altimeter, 12=Turn Coordinator, 14=Analog Clock 13= Vertical Speed Indicator, 56= VOR or ILS
8=Attitude Indicator, 9= Heading Indicator 21= Compass card

Right Panel: as indicated, in Radio (54) you can put a single VOR or ADF.

If you need more detailed info, i can send the manual.
    Regards.
    Horacio.

Or you can make a new modern panel....
    Try this....

    http://www.aircraftpanel.com/c150.html

Knowing the diameter of the instruments, you can use this drawings as template..

Re: Help me plan my instrument panel

    Thanks!
I would be interested in getting these manual.

The two panels were supposed to be a "matching set" when I ordered online. Did I mention that I have been having problems with my supplier?
Anyway, now I have these and plan on using them. Just to find the best components placement before cutting. My second placement picture is very close to what your first picture describe, but I could leave the VOR in the rhs where I thought it would fit: that's the appropriate spot 54 you mentioned.

I couldn't get these manual and went by deduction, seems I wasn't too far off.

    Merci beaucoup.
