    VRB - Variable
Used when windspeed is less than 3KT or during a violent thunderstorm
when wind direction can not be determined.

You can not insert VRB on the MCDU PERF APPR page.

BLANK is also not a valid value for the wind direction. It must be a value between 0 and 360.
I suppose variable (VRB) is currently not implemented.

I don't think winds have been implemented into the calculations so I leave this blank.

Re: mcdu perf appr - wind from different directions

The wind is only used to calculate Vapp.
Always use the worst case scenario. Let's say runway is 360. Wind is given as 05015kt 010V090. In this example worst case would be 090 with 15kts because it's the full crosswind.

As a guideline: Headwind is good, crosswind is bad, tailwind is worse.

Whatever Mag/Wind I insert in the Approach page my VAPP does not change.
