    Phidget Frustration

Ok, I've got these nice new phidgets and I've installed the software correctly (I think) but all I get is it telling my phidgets.msi is out of date. I have the latest one but ....

So can someone give me the ABC's of getting them to run?

    Hmmmpf.

I really expected an answer from anyone on how to get my phidgets running, but I guess it doesn't matter now. I've discovered that phidgets21.msi does not work correctly and so you have to use phidgets20.msi instead.

So, if you were planning on upgrading, forget it for now.

In the future, if you see a post you think you might have an answer for, please do not wait to see what others might post, often that leads to nobody posting and the person that asked the question gets quite frustrated with so many views and no answers. ANY answer is better than none. Also, your response can help to clarify a situation so that someone who has had that experience will reconize it and post a response.

Well the truth of the matter Andy is you may become the Phidgets guru! Phidgets never took of in the Cockpit world even like I thought they would. and some of us that used phidgets (like myself) never used FS2Phidgets as I programed my module directly from PMSystems. So like I said, you may become the local Phidget go to guy.... Trust me if I had the answer for you, you would have got it!

Hi Andy, Great you solved it. I did read your post, but did not have a clue. I have had problems with FS2Phidgets, could only assign one variable. Also got no answer. I use both FS2Phidgets and PMSystems (seperate PC's and seperate boards) to interface. Luckily we will be adding extensive Phidgets forums tou our site and Alan Dyer will join in helping us out here. I'm sure we will have soem new guru's, and you will probably one of them.

    Hi Andy,
I just had to re-install onto new PC, and went through the same issues.
The forums at Trossen (nee Phidgets) had that info.

Will the old forums posts be moved over to mycockpit.org?

NB: I am using SIOC, and FS2phidgets and they work wonderfully togther.
