737 panels
Hello,
Ok, for sale is a set of 4 Boeing 737 Panels that I have made and which I am very proud of. The reason for sale is simply because I am not building a 737 and don’t have the heart to throw them in the bin, personally I would love to see them put to some good use in a simulator.
There are 4 panels in total, 2 nav radio panels, 1 transponder and one EVAC panel, the nav radio panels and EVAC require 4 LED's each to illuminate, the transponder requires 6, the led's (not supplied sorry) are simply inserted into the pre-drilled (3mm)holes on the back, if you need them brighter simply drill another hole to a depth of 5mm in the rear or if you want to use filament bulbs just enlarge the existing holes, I am using ultra bright "warm white" led's that look more of a pale green hence the apparent green illumination in the photos below, personally I don’t think you need to add more illumination because you can tell there switched on even in daylight. they are laser cut, machined, painted then laser engraved, basically there made exactly the same way as there real life counterparts.
To be honest, there not yet perfect, this is my first run of them, a good example is the artwork on the transponder panel is a little to big and the letter "A" on "ALT RPTG OFF actually comes in contact with the display window, and there are a few small chips in the Plexiglas under the paint when I chamfered the edges too fast on the milling machine but there is no light bleed through where these chips are.
I think ive explained everything however if you require more info or hi res pictures please PM me, Paypal is preferred
Asking price is 60USD

Curious
Phil,
I'm curious why you made 737 panels if you are not building a 737 sim?
Regards

I ordered some 7011 paint for a bit of fun really, bored of boeing brown all the time.
However I am making some small bits for the 737 for a few other people so I thought i would test it because different colours do react differently during the laser etching process, so now I have the config settings for RAL7011 should i ever need it again.
