3 projectors and semi-circular screen setup
I just picked up another InFocus SP5000 last week. That gives me 3 total to use with my TH2G analog box. Anyone know of a good website to figure out the math on a semi-circular screen using the 16:9 projectors? I'm thinking about using first surface mirrors to shorten the mounting distance from the screen. I'm trying to figure up the best option with this setup.

LOL, Take my advice. 3 Projectors, and semicircle screen = "SOL7" Software.
You can make the semicircle fram anywhere, no major math needed, just make sure you get the software, it will be well worth it. That way, no matter how your screen ends up, SOL7 will make the image fit it perfectly.

Any idea of the size of the mirror you will need?

Depends on how far you want to project and how far the projector is from the mirror.
Average projector will project about 48"X28" from around six feet. If you want to have the projector three feet from the mirror and the mirror three feet from the screen the image on the mirror will be about half of the final image. So, a mirror 24" X 14" will be needed.
If I recall correctly, such a front surface mirror will run around $100-$150 USD.
Obviously, if you want to project to a larget screen you will either need to have a larger mirror or, have it placed closer to the projector.
There are several sites online that have calculators to figure the projection size from a given distance. These are based on the projector model.
I hope this helps.John

John
Thanks for the info, for me looks like a second projector is a better option as a large mirror gets very expensive.

Hi,
Actually you can use the below link
http://hcinema.avtool.net/site/user/index.php
It is a website program that you design your room with distances and shapes, and then you can see where you can place the projectors to get the best image. You must create an account first. Also you can save and print your designs.
From what I found the last 6 months, screen tech http://www.screen-tech.de/ seems to be the best company providing materials for projector screens.
And one example with screen-tech screen and calculations with this webside toll is bellow.

Hope to helped.

With the latest projectors it is recommended not to use foil but to make a solid shape background. There are all kind of special paints available for projection purpose. I tested different ones and came to the conclusion that using a white, non brilliant paint is the best option. In diferent cases, the pearls in the special paints gave a negative effect on the image. These paints are good for projectors with poor lumens, so they can give extra reflection.
The background does need to be very smooth and best is to apply the paint by spray.[
