pmsystem/key combinations/GoFlight T8/P8 module
Hi all.
I磎 a newbee user of pmsystems in my hom-sim. See
http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13054
The realisation of my home-sim goes stepwise. The first step is fullfilled. As a interim solution I have to integrate my GoFlight-console especially the T8 sn P8 module in my system. The T8 should do the lights, P8 is designated for the TOGA-botton, parking brake and speed brake armed, may be some functions more. Speedbrake armed, parking brake could be realized with GoFlight Software 1.77; the TOGA button doesn磘 work...
The light switches can磘 be connected to the pmsystems either.
PM Support was friendy but confined to give me a code for the TOGA button (Offset 0x4F2, command 121), actually in manual of pmsystems and FSUIPC I found no hint how to use this Code. Would someone be so kind doing the effort to explain in an example step by step how offsets are being used, that I can apply this to the TOGA-botton problem and try to find solutions for the lights? (logo, NAV, beacon, taxi, landing, strobe..)
Thanks in advance
regards

Hi Bernhard,
The problem is you are reading the wrong Manual.
http://www.flypfc.com/downloads/FSUI...er%20Guide.pdf
This manual will teach you how to program the offsets.
Your goflight units will be seen by FSUIPC, you program them in FSUIPC by pressing a button, and then using the drop down list to select the function.
As for the lights...
This will be a bigger challenge. Just get the switches working first.,

That's an old FSUIPC User Guide (for version 3.71, very old). The current version of the User Guide is always packaged in the ZIP with the current version of FSUIPC -- over in http://www.schiratti.com/dowson
I'd really rather folks used up to date versions and documentation (currently 3.82 for FS9, 4.30 for FSX, though there are later versions of the DLLs only on my Support forum, as usual). Otherwise it does greatly increase my support load, for instance when folks want things fixed which have been fixed for a long time!
Please therefore change your link. Thanks.

Sorry Pete,
I just did a search for him for "FSUIPC Manual", and gave him the first link that showed up.
I was at work, and didn't have time to post the link to the fsuipc download.
Next time I will wait for someone to post a current version manual.
Please accept my apologies.

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. The problem is that the "current version manual" isn't available separately from FSUIPC (why should it be?) -- that's really my point. If someone is using FSUIPC they should already have the manual, as it comes with it.
If they never downloaded FSUIPC but it got itself installed on their system without their knowledge or action, as from a third party installer, then maybe there's an excuse for the chap not knowing about the manual. But then he probably also doesn't know about later versions and all sorts, including how to register it and so use the facilities documented.
The best advice really I can give to any FSUIPC user is to visit http://www.schiratti.com/dowson or my Support forum (which is, after all, pointed to even on screen in FS when you go to FSUIPC options) and get up to date with both the program and its documentation.
Regards
Pete

Great stuff,
Please keep us informed. I always like following new builders as they drop into the incredible program of FSUIPC.________________________
