Looking for a certain ATC Program

    Hey everyone.

I am looking for a third party ATC Program that you would use instead of the MS default ATC. This program's voice database has to be the most realistic sounding I have heard. They don't sound like computer voices at all especially when they are calling out numbers (ie. Air Canada 1,2,2) They sound more like a real person trapped in your game calling your call sign.

    Any ideas?

Oh and it's not Radar Contact, RC still sounds a bit too "computer generated"

Good question. Have you heard this program before? Who's machine did you hear it on?

    Could it be this one?

What you are looking for is something that has/or need to purchase AT&T voice sets. The default Microsoft Mike/Mary/Sam are too computer generated. Then you will need to use Edit Voice Pack to correct any badly pronounced words and numbers. Also if you have the desire to respond to ATC with you voice, then VoxATC is the only program that I know of. I use it and would not have anything else. I also have Radar Contact but it is not voice commanded yet.

Edit Voice Pack:http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kdl/mai...1.zip?kOReL04s This link is from Flightsim.com If it doesn't work, search for editvoicepack (all one word)
    VoxATC: http://www.voxatc.com/

    Hope this helps!

I believe that's the one, In FS2004's version they had 6 or 7 sample files you could hear. Thanks AndyT
But one Question, will those new ATC voices work if I am not flying a ProFlight2000 Adventure? Such as if I am just flying a "get in, start it, and fly" type flight, or will the default ATC kick back in at that point?

Thanks Rodney, that is a different way I have never thought of trying.

    Aircan,
If interested Im selling the Proflight 2000.

Now that the installation is complete, we're all set to go. Here, you have two options again: launch Proflight, create your own adventure and fly it; or launch FS2000 and fly the six included adventures first. Veterans or previous users of Proflight may opt to do the former, but if this is your first crack at Proflight, it may be a good idea to follow the six adventures and read along in the ProFlight manual

Does the ATC go back to default ATC in Normal free flight or stay with the newly installed one. We weren't sure about that

No, the VoxATC manual tells you to turn off all MS Default ATC sounds and Comm chatter. You will open up VoxATC and begin where ever you are (free flight). I found this program great for IFR flight but for VFR flight you must use the proper terminology or it will not recognize and get kind of annoying telling you it does not understand. Are you using Vista or XP?

A lot of people using Vista have had a much better experience with VoxATC rather than XP due to Vista having a better voice recognition built in where as XP you having to teach the windows and VOxATC at the same time.

    I hope this helps.
