Have you ever thought of making 'replicas' of the simkits radio's, ov course you wont have all the features but theres nothing to stop you making a radio that is functioning for half the price of what they are asking and looks like theirs, build your own dual encoders, and copy their knobs and buttons, buy an interface that can control 7 bar segments and encoders, im sure it can be done!

Yeah, it's a considerable investment. Will let you know how I get on with the Elite modules...
I considered it for a while, although several factors convinced me to just buy some. Like, hardly seeing my wife for the last month while I built my 'pit , having something ready that I can use in time for my flying lessons and not having enough space/the right equimpent at home to do it.
Shame really, as I would have really enjoyed making some. Maybe next time!
