Re: FMGS beta6
Ok I corrected the MCDU problem, I tested with a different version than the release B6.2, my mistake again
Here the link :A320FMGS_B6.21.zip.
Keep me posted if it still doesn't work

Re: FMGS beta6
Thanks! Great work
One mistake in the new manual:
"Cpt EFIS pushbuttons (CSTR, WPT, etc...). Set to the corresponding value:"
This is valid for FO EFIS, but not for CPT EFIS. CPT EFIS is controllable via bit setting, not value setting.

Re: FMGS beta6
Hi,
Jean-Luc, great work! I wonder if there any updates on this! Is FMGS able to run on FS9?
Thanks,
Mat

Re: FMGS beta6
Hello Mat,
I'm currently working hard on next release which should include an (hopefully) accurate VNAV model and better vertical AP modes. I hope it'll be ready in a month or so.
As for FS9, I don't know what is the degree of compatibility since I do not have FS9, but it seems some people managed to get it running, minus some systems which use FSX-only FSUIPC offsets.
Cheers,
JeeHell

Re: FMGS beta6
I'm using it with FS9. It works so far, except those only-FSX-offsets, e.g. APU.
I had a lot of trouble with VNAV and AP and hope it will be fixed in the next release

Re: FMGS beta6
Most def. Thanks for that.So you're saying you can't use the APU? Let's see what Jeehell says about the rest! Also, I was wondering if there's any chance the software might be extended to an A340 type of plane? Wouldn't that essentially imply tweaking the flight dyanmics and the ECAM screens? Looking forward to reading what you say about this!

Re: FMGS beta6
Here are the offsets used that are not compatible with FS9: Fuel flow, Gross weight, fuel used, APU, engines start, doors.
Which means that:
Fuel Flow, GW, Fuel Used and Doors won't be displayed correctly on E/WD and SD.
APU simply will not work.
Engine start seems to work?
There may be other issues that I'm not aware of.
But the biggest problem is probably not the offsets, but the tuning of flight governs in the AP/FD module. ANd I would need to be able to test myself to see if it works correctly or not.
As for the A340 version, that imply indeed tweaking the ECAMs and flight dynamics, but the FMGS part would have to be deeply reworked I guess. And I'm not even near finishing the A320 version so I don't even know myself if I'll do the 340 version...

Re: FMGS beta6
Right no problem on the A340. Didn't know it implied so much? Thanks anyways for sharing insight into the offsets. I guess I might try moving to FSX! Don't know how that runs on a MBP though! Happy flying!

Re: FMGS beta6
Currently I have to time to test it in my cockpit (exams at university) but in a few weeks I will take a few days to continue working and to continue testing Jeehell's FMGS.
Then I call tell you more.
