Re: update on the motion project.
Thanks !
You will be able to see/fly it on the next FSweekend which is in 6 months allready.
It will be stationed in a hangar on Lelystad Airport, right next to the aviodrome museum !

Re: update on the motion project.
Sure you can.
I depends on the exact wishes of the customer. This is not aimed at the home market. A similar setup to this you have to think of approximately 250K to 300K in euro's.
The Platform alone costs more than 100.000 euro's from MOOG (http://www.moog.com/products/motion-systems/).
If there is anything in particular you'd like to know about the system, just ask.

Re: update on the motion project.
OK, another small update:
The instructors cabin is spray painted and waiting for its logo:
Last work being done under the hood. When all is done, the windows will be fitted and the dome will be closed. There is an accesdoor to the dome for maintenance.
Part of the instructors cabin. 2 seats will be fitted + the instructors station (touchscreens). Its quite spacey for 2 persons.
view from the captains seat. Screens, gauges and ics system fitted. Only the MCP PRO needs to be placed.
Some close up shots. We are detail freaks, so all kinds of screws are fitted. Diferent sizes, some countersunk, etc. Not all functional, other than wanting to replicate the exact look of the real panels.
Close up of the overhauled IPECO's with new J-rails:
Plug and play pedestal. All modules functional, including the mic selector panel, the firepanel, cargo fire panel, radar panel, stab trim panel and even the lighting panel and the door/trim panel.
More news about the new plug and play modules soon.
Uhmmmm dont know what this is.....you didnt see it
Looks like a ...uhmmm.... other ICS thingy: No more wiring, looks sooo CLEAN !
Its not finished yet, knobs need to be fitted, dark filters for the displays, annunciators need to be fitted and the aluminium caps on the honeywell switches need to be replaced by white caps (yes the real locking honeywells are fitted).
When that is done it will be fitted in the sim. Plug and play, just one usb plug and a power line.
functional valve gauge:

Re: update on the motion project.
Hey Stef, thanks for the update. It's looking excellent! I've soooo many questions I want to ask... I'll start with, where did the sidewalls come from?

Re: update on the motion project.
Hi Sean,
Ask anything you want.
The interior trim is available from the Aviation Megastore:

Re: update on the motion project.
getting closer to the final updates for this project.....
Interiors almost finished. only need to add the ceiling trim and the aft overhead. You can just see the 2 seats in the instructors cabin.
A shot of a part of the instructors cabin. The seats are pneumatic and MUCH more comfortable than the IPECO's at half the price.
Instructorstation is operated by a single touch screen. The floodlighting in the instructorstation is blue and dimmable.
ceiling trim fitted.....only the aft overhead remains to be fitted.
A view to the sim from the instructors cabin.
The ICS plug and play AFT overhead. All annunciators, switches and displays are functional. Gauge has to be fitted. IRS display and keypad are functional.
Packing her up in bubble wrap for transport. She is being transported to the final location and we will finish the sim there.
Our facilities. The sim is about as high as the overhead door when the platform is TOTALLY lowered to its lowest position.
There she goes.
A tight fit !
Lifting the sim with a crane to be put on a special transport.
Transport is being taken care of by Royal SAAN, a dutch company specialized in aircraft transportation and salvage.
The final location. A hangar on Lelystad Airport in the netherlands.
A nice video impression of the transport made by Alex Alberto:
