I suspect the knobs are glued on.

What pin are you referring to?

What I'd really need isn't a unit like this but individual controls to interface myself trough arduino... Saitek should sell spare parts to us. Lol

Ok so I can't help you with that.
But for info, end knobs (red, back, blue) have a screw behind the metalic sticker. Pull out gently the metalic sticker and you'll see the screw.

On the real cessna 172 you don't need all these Saitek (Prop + switches) For the C182T prop will be fine.
Did you replace the whole piece or caps?

    Re: Saitek TPM teardown...

    Hi peeps.
I've just built a throttle/mixture much like that above for around £45. I'm at work but if you're interested I could add some pics.

Leobodnar joystick interface £25 or so
    2 Door knobs - £6 homebase
    2 Sliding potentiometers - £8 ebay
    scrap wood
scrap metal tube (optional, can be dowel)
    Paint
Syringes (optional) £4 ebay (I used these as a push/pull dampener originally but have since discarded when down scaling)

Door knobs on end of metal rods
    Metal rods attached to potentiometers
Potentiometers housed in box of scrap board.

Nice easy build, anyone can make it, plug and play with Leo's board, plus you can add loads of switches etc to your hearts content.

Did you take off the switch wires? and keep the circuit board?

Can you post pictures and directions? I can't find the Saitek TPM anymore and want to build one for sim flight training to get my private pilot's license done.
