    Re: 737 Throttle levers

If it's this method you're using:
    http://users.skynet.be/jcordon/cockpit/TRTLGal.htm
    Download here:
    http://www.mycockpit.org/fileshare/s...?e=31&catid=27

it looks like a bearing from a roller skate or a small metal cylinder running in a groove up the shaft of the throttle. It works in much the same way as a piston in the cylinder of an car's engine.

    If it's this one:

it looks pretty self explanatory and quite elegant if I say so myself.

    Good luck

All you really need is a jigsaw, a file and a drill. Easier then you think.

Another option would be to give the CAD drawings to a fab shop with a CNC machine and they could cut the pieces out for you.
the link is dead any other links for the throttle tutorial

Great tutorials! Does anyone have a link for similar tutorials for the A32o throttle units?

    Re: 737 Throttle levers

How are your levers? I was planning to cut them this weekend from mdf, .. but I too am convinced that I won;t be able to make them properly. I recently bought a 2nd hand electrical scroll saw but I canl;t seem to cut a straight line with it.

Someone should introduce complete throttle levers to a collection.... I think they'd be a good seller. Oh well,... back to the shed I guess ...

    Re: 737 Throttle levers

Yeah i searched the world for the lever's.... i even emailed some manufacturers to see if they sold the levers seperately. These were the biggest reason i didn't want to start my throttle because of the complicated shape and interfacing. In the end Jackpilot gave me his prototype's, they are generic with a swing toward boeing and they are awesome, made from aluminium. Good luck mate.
