    I was sure you meant 6K feet since flight levels in the US are not that low.

    Charts would have been handy in that case and you would have known your en-route MEA's along with MEA's for the STAR.

    Flying a computerized aircraft isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes. No pun intended, and too many pilots think they can just forget about having a paper chart for the route of flight.

    I say that's a ticket to losing your SA in a hurry.
