Re: Fix for the hard-to-turn Saitek Radio Knobs!

Yes thats the Knob in your picture!! SO you just gave me an idea, I turned the Knob around and now the set screw is clamping down on the round side of the shaft. I didn't do that at first, thinking it would not be secure enough, but it works OK. The pointer now points to the Legends and looks much better. You don't need to use a Dowel.

I have had to send back my multi panel 3 times, and my switch panel once. This is a design problem madcatz needs to address and fix rather than ignore!!

Yes please. I have three radio panels and changing feq is a nightmare when you are doing nav exercises.

Re: Fix for the hard-to-turn Saitek Radio Knobs!

    Hi everyone

I am also a radio Saitek user like probably few people in this forum.
Because I didnt like the "toy aspect" of the 2 right dual rotary knobs (to adjust the frequencies), I bought 2 knobs for dual encoder (4 and 6 mm, Leo Bodnar, fitting a 1/4' shaft).

    http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index....f9081deb6e2b46

According to a someone who measured, the shaft of the saitek are 1/4' inch diameter, so it might fit

I have now a silly question: I try to remove the knobs but without success. I am sure that it is not about removing them with force, there is probably something to do to remove them.

Was a tutorial here but not available anymore. If someone knows how to do it, i will be happy for the help. A website gives that service, but paying 130 dollars for that is a bit ironic

    thank you for your help

    David
