Marco, could you perhaps put in the mouse pad from a cheap laptop. If you're good with electronics i would say it could be done. And i dare say rather a lot cheaper than FDS are selling them.

If you want a home made solution, a little bit different in appearance, just incorporate a trackball in your design.

That is one solution also, lets see.
Or maybe i just leave those non functional.
Anyway not hurry with those, i have much more inportant parts to make first.
