Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
Hi,
I have some problems with FMGS Config Tool > Joystick Switches > XPDR1 (and following digits)
in combination with the IVAP client interfaces installed on a client PC.
There is a strange behaviour of the digits on the IVAP transponder display.
When I press (for instance) button 1 once there is no reaction on the IVAP display.
When I press it twice then 1111 appear on the display.
When I press button 1 (without reaction) and then 2, there is 1122 displayed.
This "systematic" is immanent in all the 7 digits of the transponder.
And:
The control "XPDR_clear" has no effect at all. There are no digits disappearing on the display.
Has anybody any ideas how the transponder could work correctly?
Regards
René

Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
Hi,
There seems to be a bug with the switches, the soft uses the same key twice per button push. I will correct that.
However, IVAP will display the full XPDR code only once it has been entered completely. So when you push say 1234, the IVAP XPDR will change only after pushing the button "4", not before. IVAP XPDR does not allow a temporary XPDR display as in the airbus.

JL

Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
Hi JL,
thanks for the really very fast reply! Would be nice if you could correct the double use of the keys so they could be used correctly.
Yes, I know that IVAP will display only the full XPDR code. I was only "surprised" that I had the full XPDR code on the IVAP display after pressing only two digits
I installed your software two weeks ago and so it's the time to thank you very much for your great and amazing Airbus software. It's just incredible what you are creating as a freeware product. Is there a possibility for a donation (a part to contribute to the site MyCockpit)?

Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
Hi JL,
I am using the TOPCAT tool to plan weights and Take Off Performance Data. This tool has a function to send payload and fuel weights via FSUIPC to FS9 which is working fine: I have checked the weights within FS9 menu and they are correct after sending. Also the FOB in the JL software is updating fine.
When I go in MCDU on INIT B page and press R3 to get data via data link, the ZFW is not updating. Block fuel is updating fine. Maybe you can have a look at the ZFW?
Thanks
Stefan

Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
The correct offset is read in FS, and I cannot see why it would not work after an update of FS.
FSUIPC SDK says there could be issues with this offset, but in FS9 I cannot see other ways to correct that. So unfortunately I cannot do much.

JL

Hi all,
Just to inform I'll be away on holyday for two weeks.

Re: A320 FMGS beta 30
Hi JL,
hope you had nice holidays!
Two proposals for the next update / upgrade:
Is it difficult to program animated doors on ECAM DOOR PAGE? Needless to say that it's not very important to fly the Airbus. Only the passengers don't have a comfortable flight with open doors . Therefore such a feature would be rather helpful.
And
I can't notice any "blue hockeystick" on ND while descending? Is this feature not implanted yet or is it a side effect of a wrong handling? Actually it is displayed while climbing.
I've read most of the 80 pages (I must admit not every single line). So I'm sorry if I renew these topics. But I would appreciate an answer anyway - from you or other members.
Thanks and regards
René
