Assigning key press to joystick

Hi all

Can anyone advise how to assign a specific keyboard keypress i.e. '1" to a joystick switch. I can change other flight functions with Config but cannot assign a keypress.

I don't think this is supported in any way I can think of

Don't know, what you plan to do. But usually, I take FSUIPC for sending key presses to the sim.

I only want to reply/confirm to ATC with joystick trigger switch instead of keep having to press "1" on the keyboard which is normally stowed away during the flight.

just assign the key "1" to the desired joystick button within FSUIPC (under Buttons/Switches you must select "send Key press")
