    Airbus Terrible disaster

As I was doing my business paperwork an Emergency News broadcast on every channel about a terrible tragedy that had just occurred a Continental Airlines Flight 3407 Commuter A/C prob a Dash 8 just went down in a residential neighborhood of Buffalo New York all souls ( 48 ) were lost and possible 2 more on ground. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/13/pla...ork/index.html The plane apparently was on a landing path to airport and crashed into a house. It is with deep sadness that I post this horrible event and our prayers go out to the families of those who lost loved ones and to the emergency workers that they remain safe while still trying to contain this situation. Also we pray that all those who were lost find eternal peace. If any of you lost anyone on this flight or knew someone my deepest sympathy and condolences go to you this evening. God bless and im deeply sorry for your loss.

It's unfortunate and sad for the victims and their family, my thoughts are with them.

I heard there were reports from other aircrafts of icing problems. The Continental was over the outer marker inbound when it lost contact.

Likewise, this is very saddening and unfortunate. I was just watching the episode on the 2001 crash in Queens NY of American Airlines flight 587 last night. It was shocking to open up the news and see this.

I was shocked to see our HR department issue a statement today that the head of our company's Safety & environment, North America was killed on the plane AND the civilian killed on the ground was just layed off at our Buffalo plant. The plant closed today.

    Both were employed by Henkel.
A very somber day at work today.

Its always sad when we lose someone, especially someone close to us. But the best thing to do once the tears are shed is to honor them by correcting what happened and do our level best to insure it never happens again.

I'd like each of us to dedicate at least one flight each month to training for an emergency. Yes, its only a sim, but it is a way to honor those that have been lost. For those of us that are real pilots, the extra training will be more than worth it. It could just save some lives one day.

As a Minister, I pray for each person.

It is a sad day indeed... It was Colgan 3407 Operating for Continental Express Dash 8-Q400 and from what I heard the F/O was a 25 year old girl that had just started flying for them about 3 months ago. All she ever wanted to do was fly.

They will all be missed... Rest in Peace...

Hey I haven't really got much yet. Mainly just running a single 2.4 P4 with two lcd screens. I am using FS9 with Just Flights A340 Pro. I will post some pics of my setup once I get it moved to its new home in the basement. I will be in the market for A340 parts soon.

A girl I went to high school with became a flight instructor at the college I was attending for my ratings at the time. She went on to fly for a cargo airline and was the FO aboard the aircraft that went down I think in Ohio, Columbus maybe it was, back about ten or more years ago around or on Thanksgiving. I was stunned when I heard that it was her.

That wasn't a very good holiday for me that year. All she wanted to do was fly too.

I think a sim flight like was suggested is a good idea too.
