    Smile Pilot Eyepoint

    Hi to all,

    So, i finally did it and built a basic Captain's side only structure. I have an Infocus X8 projector mounted on the ceiling, but with the size of the room, i have the pit quite close to the wall. Because of this, the projected image is a little high on the wall in order to clear the glareshield.

    The horizon line is a lot higher than the level of my eyes and i wondered if anyone knows how to move it down in the FSX settings?

    I have tried moving the eyepoint setting up already, but this just makes me higher above the ground without changing the horizon.

    Is there a setting where i can change the pitch of my view to look upwards a little?

    I appreciate any help i can get with this.

    Thanks.

    Regards
    Benja

    P.S. I will be posting some pictures soon.

    Hi Benja,

    Try Pan Up - Ctrl+Shift+Q
    or Pan Down - Crtl+Q

    Also:

    Zoom in - =
    Zoom Out - -
    Eyepoint Up - Shift+Enter
    Eyepoint Down - Shift+Backspace

    You will probably need to experiment a bit to get the view you need - than save flight as default to save the view points.

    Hi Benja

    Also if you play with the views in the aircraft.cfg file:

    [Views]
    eyepoint = 82.50, 0.00, 5.80

    the third number is for up/down.

    Is there any way you know to also change the Pan angle in the config file?

    Go to
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX
    and find the file Cameres.cfg

    Change the two lines (look the arrows)

    Title = Cockpit
    Guid = {B1386D92-4782-4682-A137-738E25D1BAB5}
    Description = This is the description of the cockpit view
    Origin = Cockpit
    ShowPanel = Yes
    SnapPbhAdjust = Ordinal
    SnapPbhReturn = True
    PanPbhAdjust = Swivel <----- change the
    PanPbhReturn = False <------ two lines
    Track = None
    ShowAxis = FrontOnly
    AllowZoom = TRUE
    InitialZoom = 1.0
    SmoothZoomTime = 2.0
    ShowWeather = Yes
    XyzAdjust = TRUE
    ShowLensFlare=FALSE
    Category = Cockpit
    HotKeySelect=2

    Also you can play with the rate:
    PitchPanRate = 30
    HeadingPanRate = 75

    change the 30 and the 75 in the rate that is best for you.

    i hope this is that you are looking.
