    Thanks guys !

Forgot to add that people can also upgrade to our internally lit panels from our Performance PRO line: panels with one internal pcb, only need to connect a 12V line.

So if people want to backlite the panels themselves this can be done easily, but if they want to save the work, they can upgrade to backit panels at a later stage.

will post pictures after the weekend.

a picture of the upgrade kit with the internally backlit panels i mentioned above:

All panels have PCB based backlighting.

Easy panel backlighting requires a 12V power adapter ( not included)

Panels are fully compatibe with the desktop panel kits

Same as Project Magenta. Expensive but worth it.

I built my own panels and was quite happy with them. Until You get one of these in your hands you never notice the difference. Once you have one of these, you will never want anything else.

Depends on the definition of expensive, so i beg to differ.

As far as i know there is only one other vendor offering desktop kits, and ours are more complete, more detailed AND MUCH cheaper.

Take a look at all the details like the thumbscrews, aluminium bezels for pfd/nd and standby gauges, the highly detailed glare wings that nobody offers this detailed, and then decide if its worth the money.

I dont think its possible to sell them any cheaper....unless we are giving them away

Thats true they are very detailed!

But i recon you make a killing on these!

    uhm....yes...you ...uhm...are right...

    we are all millionaires....

and thats because we are such nice guys that nobody wants US to pay any bills....
so those nice people who bend and set all aluminium panels for us do this all for free....

and then the even nicer guys at the powder coaters do powdercoating absolutely free too...

luckily we got the vacuum form for moulding the glare wings from boeing themselves...for free.....

The professionally done paint work has been done for free by the painter too...well ...thats not entirely true...i bought him a beer

we dont have to pay for all the laser machines, the cnc....our production facility is in the open, so we dont have to pay for buildings, etc.

I woke up one morning and had all the designs in my head...just like that...we dont employ and entire team, they do all the work voluntairily....since here in holland we dont have to pay for our bills in the supermarket and dont have mortgages....

so yes...uhm....you are right....we make a killing out of these.....

    Prices are EXCLUDING VAT too,

so actually we make 1300 euro's for the combination of the 3 kits (ex VAT, because most of our customers are outside europe...btw...we dont keep VAT in our pockets, it goes to the government...but im sure you know that)...

so yes.....we are all millionaires...us, FDS, simkits, flightillusion, sismo, cockpit sonic and even the non profit Open cockpit guys, allllllllll millionaires....and allllllll making a killing here....

you'd think that atleast they would give you the backlight kit for free,
you are right...since it costs us nothing to make them...i'm sorry...i'll have the sales department change it right away

let me guess you dont even get landing gear?
    nope...sorry....

    no screens?
no....im sorry...we couldnt find anyone that wants to give us the screens for free.

pay on top for delivery etc?
Shipping is handled and calculated by UPS, i will ask them if they do it for free

So if i understand right you want to pay....uhmmm....lets say....half ?....
    600 euros ?
    including
    screens
    landing gear
    all electronics/interfaces
    knobs and switches
    shipping......

    uhmmmm.....ok....i'll see what i can do ....

    This worlds gone mad!
Now theres something you said i couldnt agree more on.....

    i rest my case.....

good thing you live in a free world and nobody forces you to buy anything from anyone....

And there is allways this community (including myself) with all the hints and tips given to do things yourself...good luck on your build

    Stef

    Alex

You may rightfully find that some items are too expensive
It does not mean that they are for other people.
We are not debating about personal means, but about the fact that you are accusing a vendor of overpricing his products...on what grounds? Are you ready and able to substantiate it?
And in any case, this is not the purpose of this Forum.

And all this time I thought you & all the other vendors had to pay for all supplies and manufacturing costs. If GM, Chrysler, Ford & all other car manufacturers could get a similar deal, I bet the global economic situation would greatly improve
