    PMDG 747 PFD etc

Anyone know how to undock the PFD/ND and upper EICAS windows for the PMDG 747 (or even IF you can )?

Seems like PMDG did it for the MD11 but I can't figure out how to do it for the 747.

    Hi Steve,

That's easy: left click on anyone of the three displays. This will make them pop-up (without their frames) in a slightly larger version all by themselves.

Next, move your mouse over the popped display until it changes from hand to pointer which, in my situation, is the top part of the display.
Then right click which will make a small window popping up allowing you to undock it. Once undocked you can move it anywhere you want and also
resize it to any shape you want.

    (see attached example)

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Martin

Thanks for that - exactly what I've been trying to do.

    Hi Steve,

Forgot to tell you in my previous post that if you postition the PFD/ND and/or Eicas carefully and then save the flight they will pop-up automatically next time you start the saved flight (so you don't have to re-position them every time again). You can also save it as the default flight which means a couple of clicks and you are up and away.

    Cheers,

    Martin

    Re: PMDG 747 PFD etc

    Hi Martin,

Does this also work for the PMDG 737 series?

    Thanks

    Re: PMDG 747 PFD etc

    Rob,

    I'm sorry, but I don't know. I don't have PMDG's 737, I only have the 747 where it works great.

    Re: PMDG 747 PFD etc

    Sure you can.
You need to tweak panel.cfg of the PMDG 73NG.
Please note that PMDG was not designed for that,
and from time to time it acts strange

    Re: PMDG 747 PFD etc

    Ran,

Are you using 1 PC with 3 video outputs to get that setup. I've got the PFD/ND seperated from the outside view similar to you (both off a video card with 2 outputs). I was wondering if I put in another video card and add another monitor, I could drag the EICAS, etc to it like your setup.

    Thanks

    Sean

    Hi Sean,
Yes 1 PC two VGA cards and 4 displays.
ND PFD external view and the CDU which is using the TV out.
This pic is also not the current setup.
The current setup is, ND PFD external view OH and
    the CDU is Engravity.

with 2 vid cards you can do this.
You will need to have panel.cfg of the PMDG and move the EICAS to another
display (Shift + 4 for example).
I will look for the panel.cfg of that setup and share it.
