Re: Panel building, focussed on dimensions: *TUTORIAL* uploaded
Hessel can I just say that was one of the most entertaining and informative tutorials I have ever viewed. I am just in the process of drawing up panels for my 777 overhead and had these exact questions regarding panel sizing and fixing placement, so to say that it was well timed would be an understatement. All I can say is thank you.
Ken.
BTW, any chance of it being converted to a handy pdf document for easy download?

Re: Panel building, focussed on dimensions: *TUTORIAL* uploaded
This is seriously excellent information, I didn't think it existed but now that I found it, I'm very grateful! Many thanks!
Just a question though, are the radius curves identical on Boeing and Airbus? I know this is probably being way too anal but still can't help finding out.
Also, I assume that the (146.05mm)/(5 3/4") width of the aluminum backplate will be the same between Airbus and Boeing?
Lastly, given the fact that we have an aluminum backplate, is there just a general big cutout with like lets say half an inch offset around the whole panel for the back lighting to come through?
