I'm trying to set up widefs in fsx on windows7. When I go to the sharing tab I can see a share 'with' but not an option to share 'as'. I want to share it as FSPLANS.

I think I sorted it this way. Go to Documents/Flightsimulator files. I added a folder and called it FS PLANS. Go to prpoerties and the sharing tab. Go to advanced sharing and add share name FSPLANS.......

Not sure if this works in all versions of Win 7, I have ultimate : if you right-click a folder and choose properties, on the sharing tab you can choose advanced sharing and name the share anything you like.

Right click the folder you want to share, then Properties. Go to the Sharing tab. Click the Advanced Sharing... button. Tick Share this Folder and in the next box, give it the share name, in your case FSPLANS. Then click Permissions further down the window and make sure Everyone has Full Control.
