Flight Route Temporarily Changes During Flight

I am having a problem where my flight route temporarily changes during flight and then changes back.
For example, all my legs will disappear and no waypoint data will appear on the ND and then it will re-appear 15-30 seconds later. All the legs disappear on the CDU and then reappear later. The ND only shows a direct routing from departure to destination when the legs disappear. Is this some sort of temporary communication problem between the CDU and the FSPLANS folders? Any ideas or comments welcome.
