With Burt Lancaster and Deano as a pilot. Where in order to calm the passengers down on a turbulent flight to Chicago Dean Martin heads back into the cabin and tells the dude with the bomb in his briefcase that "Exploding the bomb voids his travel insurance".. There by creating the panic he was trying to avoid... A serious moment but seemed so very funny after watching "Airplane" a few times.

My favorite line from that movie though was from Joe Patroni (George Kennedy) .. When a flight mechanic qualified to move aircraft refuses to move a stuck 707 from a snow ladened runway.. Joe takes over - and assumes responcibility.

"Sir it says in the manual that you can't run the engines that hard it will rip the plane apart" Patroni's reply "There's lots of things a 707 can do but one thing it can't" - What's that? - "It can't read"
