    Create a plan

    Hello,

I am a manufacturer of cockpit and my project is well advanced (see www.737project.com).

I have a FMS and MCP GC project magenta.

Can you help me, because I can not create a new plan on my fms ?

Which tool do you use ?

Is it possible to give a departure airport and destination airport and to automatically calculate the route ?

    Thank you for your help.

    Re: Create a plan

You can create a flight plan using the FMS/CDU and then save it for later. However, I am not aware of automatic routing within PM's CDU. You will have to input all the waypoints/fixes yourself. You can also load any saved FS flight plan. The following is from Project Magenta's manual:
It can also automatically read any FS Flight Plan once it has been saved. The last saved flight plan will then be displayed in the ND. For this, you have to share your FS Flight Plan folder (normally under My Computer / XXX's Documents / Flight Simulator) for read/write access as FSPLANS and it will be recognized. To load them into the CDU, press the RTE key twice and select FS Flight Plan

    Re: Create a plan

    ws,

PM FMS software will not create a plan - you need to import one from MSFS or other planning software.

I am not at home, so dont have access, but look at the documentation on projectmagenta.com, or look at the import current plan page - create a flight plan in MSFS and save it, then make it your current plan. PM will then import the finished plan to FMS from the flight plan page.

You can then modify the plan - also try searching here for FMS flight plans.\\

    Re: Create a plan

    Hello,

Thank you for your help. I just tried and it works very well with FSnav.

I take the mail to another help.

At the time of T/D I've always the message "Drag required" the plane does not follow the speed specified in the plan.

For example here, the waypoint PITOM speeds of 238, the FMS is 315 and the airplane is in overspeed.

    Do you know why?

What aircraft model are you using?

Does the auto throttle have the throttles closed?

    Re: Create a plan

I use on FS the PM 737 700 (PMDG) and for the FMS I using the B737-700 engines CFM56-7B20 PM.

No, i'm not sure but for auto-throlle is not completely closed.

I dont understand why the FMS does not follow the instruction of my route ?

I put my ini file from FMS. Maybe this will help?

    Re: Create a plan

Have you deleted the panels/gauges from the PMDG 737 panel.cfg? If you are using Project Magenta, you do not want anything in the panel.cfg except the forward view. Otherwise, the PMDG 737 might be trying to control the aircraft as well as PM's MCP.

    Re: Create a plan

    Hello,

Thank you for your help. It seems that this problem is solved, but I always have problems that the FMS should follow the speed in the plan. I will open a new topic.

    Thank you for your help.

    Re: Create a plan

    WS,

I remember a similar problem with the "Drag Required" messsage - email support@projectmagenta.com with the symptoms.

I think it is to do with a setting in the ini file, or set up on the FMS menu page.
