projectors vs flat TV
Just floating the idea.
As the prices drop daily, a 50" HD TV costs roughly the price of a good projector.
Definition and colors are better
Do not need a dark environment
Can be really close= smaller sim room
The only problem I see (appropriate word) is the framing of each TV.
Ideas, comments, experience welcome

Theoreticly the bottom example would work well. You'd need 2 Matrox DualHead2Go boxes and use Windows XP horizontal-span mode all ran through the best single video card you can afford. The top example is the reason why you'd use triplehead projection on a curved screen and not LCD/tvs.

You may find some of the comments here: http://www.avsim.com/project757/pics/week24.html to be of interest. The Lehkamps worked with multiple Sony CRT monitors in late 2002 as part of their 767 sim.

Could you please expand on this Bob
Well the bottom one does not work well and I am talking from experience. The center where the left and right come together is the problem. When you are on approach, you can not see the runway. The first one works much better.
Could you please expand on this Bob as I am not sure what you mean

I can't wait until they develop flexible LCD TFT technology. Can you imagine a 60", or larger wrap-around screen, and needing only one for the entire sim?
Cheaper than a projector and runs from only one video port on the card.
Wishful thinking I guess.Boeing Skunk Works
