Hello from Northern Ireland
Hi guys
My name is Davy and myself and Rob are building a 'generic' cockpit loosely based around the 737 and a Dornier 328. I have been lurking on the site for a while now, but now we have finally begun to build, I think its time I introduced myself. To date I haven't seen any sim builders on the site from across the Irish Sea, so perhaps we are the first? Both of us are the wrong side of 40, and our wives believe we are entering our second childhood (they may be right but we don't care, we're having fun). We are using mostly goflight gear and will eventually use a projector for outside visuals, and are considering flyware glass cockpit software. Still only at the unpainted 'lets see what it looks like' stage, but as we progress I will post pics. As usual time restrictions always apply so we can't always get as much time as we'd like. Having said that, our wives are very definately becoming 'simwidows'. Look forward to active participation in the future.

Hi Davy and Rob. I'm from Northern Ireland also. Doesn't feel quite so lonely now. Have you seen my ad selling a Hagstrom card - you might be interested. I am starting to build a 737 also. It is very time consuming and very expensive. But I can cope with the time demands as I am now retired.

Great to hear from you Bill! Good to know we're not the only ones this side of the pond. Your Hagstrom sounds good, but as complete newbies we're still finding our feet. The pit is being built in Rob's attic in Lisburn, and I'm from Belfast. Must get our heads together sometime.

Welcome guys! ..... I am on the same line of latitude as Northern Ireland (well Belfast anyway!), in Newcastle/Durham. Love to get over to Belfast whenever possible, especially as it's now only 35 minutes and about £30 quid direct from Newcastle, thanks to low cost air travel!
Good luck with the pit build !David R

Welcome lads,
Another one from the green Isle, this time from the sweet County Clare. Hope to meet sometime. You should count your self lucky being with the two of you, you can split the costs and dream of future updates over a pint of stout.
