    Project Magenta SA_WXR and PMGetWeather

    Hi,

    i use SA_WXR for receiving the radar bitmap based on the fs weather.

    i use also PMGetWeather for requesting METAR in FMC...but this metar comes from another weatherserver (i'm wrong?) and has nothing to do with the fs weather.

    e.g. if i setup a really nasty weather in FS and im requesting the metar at my destination...it could be the nicest weather.

    is there any way to get METAR information in FMC directly from FS?

    thanks and greetings henning

    Hi! Do you mean that by using Whazzup Plus you can get Vatsim weather downloaded to the PM CDU?

    Yes. If you have the pm suite, then you can get for free the whazzUp plus. Then inside the ini file of whuzzUp plus you can configure to get the metar from Vatsim or ivao inside CDU. So, if you use active sky to get weather from vatsim and whuzzup plus for metars inside cdu, then the metars from the cdu will be accurate 100% with fs weather and vatsim weather.

    I use the above solution plus the sa_wxr without any problem.

    Tnx! This sounds great. I guess this means that whazzup has to run with the cdu then? Is it possible for you to post your ini file or just the part that contains the wx setting?

    Thank you very much for your replys.

    My questions runs in a direction for the case that i do not use ivao or vatsim

    So in my way of thinking the most easy way would be:

    Weather Source ==> Moving to

    ActiveSky ==> FS9/FSX

    or
    Ivao ==> FS9/FSX

    or
    FS Own ==> FS9/FSX

    or
    VATSIM ==> FS9/FSX

    ==> Radar in GC (SA_WXR) is taken the weather from FS9/FSX, works
    ==> METAR in FMC is taken the weather from FS9/FSX, open issue

    So radar in GC and METAR in FMC should be taken from FS9 / FSX to be independend of any source where the weather is comming from.

    My my case i like to set bad weather by FS or Active Sky but i'm not able to request the METAR in FMC based on this set FS weather.

    Thank you for your help.
